Meeting Minutes - 02/28/19 – 8:00 PM

- Leadership Positions
- We need to vote for positions for 2019
- Nominations will be open through Monday (3/4)
- Email Jodie ([email protected])or send a DM to the Facebook page
- Electronic ballot will be sent out (3/5); voting open through Thursday (3/7)
- Alumnae can only run for a position if they have paid dues ($10)
- You can pay dues on the website: https://thetaphibaaa.weebly.com/membership.html
- Elected positions:
- President
- Chairs meetings and supervises the work of all other officers
- Appoints standing and special committees
- Liaison with National Theta Phi Alpha
- Ensures reporting obligations are met
- Ensures that elections are conducted properly and chairs a transition meeting between outgoing & incoming officers
- Updates social media/website (coordinates with Secretary)
- Vice President
- Acts in place of the President in her absence
- Supervises programming for the association
- Oversees committee chairmen
- Treasurer
- Manages monetary transactions and maintains financial records
- Collects dues and pays all fees to National Office on a timely basis
- Maintains the Association’s bank account
- Secretary
- Keeps an accurate attendance record
- Takes minutes and sends a copy to members and National Office following each meeting
- Maintains record of all alumnae in the area and submits changes of addresses/names to National Office
- Updates social media/website (coordinates with President)
- Non-elected positions (to be appointed after elections):
- Collegiate liaison (help keep in touch with local chapters)
- Fundraising chair
- Philanthropy chair
- Public Relations
- President
- We need to vote for positions for 2019
- Updates from National Office
- New Alumnae program to replace the old Standards of Achievement (pearls)
- Less mandatory reporting (only a reduced annual report in May)
- No minimum membership requirement; just need to stay active
- No mandatory rituals, but Founders Day still encouraged
- Leadership Consultant
- Mary Humphrey will be at Merrimack (3/22-3/28) and Salem State (3/28-4/3)
- Event ideas for when Mary visits
- Possible event on 3/28 between the switch from Merrimack to Salem
- Dinner with LC and alumnae?
- Merrimack has unity week at 7pm want drop off early in the afternoon
- Event Ideas for March & April
- Founders Day - possibly the weekend of April 27-29
